i’ve got 36 hours to take 1,000 stories to parliament - comment ‘change’ for the survey ever since my appointment to the @britishbeautycouncil i’ve been dreaming of a moment like this. starting ruka was more than just being about selling product or fundraising announcements. it has always been about becoming an advocate for the essential education, real innovation and now, real policy that protects us. i’ve been invited to present evidence to parliament that will shape regulation for hair extensions going forward on Tues 3 Nov 2026. @rukahair we’ve spent years investing in building the best fibre and striving for a higher standard than the market. without the support of real legislation, we invested in international lawyers and global labs for a safer, sustainable and ethical supply chain. but we know it’s not enough, and we can’t do it alone. protecting this community isn’t about instilling fear, but innovating for better choices and developing nuanced, scientific standards that institutionalise protection before it shows up on your scalp. so i’m asking for three policies: we want extensions being imported into the country or being produced in the country to be vetted for (a) their origins (b) what they’re made of / composition (c) a definition of safety with regulatory limits of ingredients but i can’t walk in there with just my story. i need yours. and i need them in the next 36 hours. so, if you’ve ever worn braiding hair, a wig or extensions, this is the one time your answer goes somewhere that can actually change something. comment ‘change’ for the link to the survey

Democrats just won control of both the House and Senate, and the results could have major consequences for the AI industry. One of the biggest issues during the election was the rapid expansion of AI data centers. Americans are increasingly concerned about rising electricity bills, with a Reuters/Ipsos poll finding that 77% worry AI will push their power costs higher. The election results have already raised concerns among investors, with several AI infrastructure stocks falling as markets assess what Democratic control of Congress could mean for the industry. Democrats have called for greater oversight of AI companies, while Senator Bernie Sanders has proposed a moratorium on new AI data centers. Meanwhile, President Trump continues to support faster AI infrastructure development. With an estimated $5.2 trillion in global AI data center investment needed by 2030, the stakes are enormous. Democrats will take control of Congress in January 2027, setting up a major political debate over how quickly America's AI infrastructure should grow and who should bear the costs. What are your thoughts on this? 🤔💬
That's why Bron went to Philly. Play in big time games with big time players and make big time plays on his way out. Super early but Sixers look like the big dog of the East right now. Knicks seem to have lost their edge. Winning a title is such an uphill battle now. Very hard to carry that momentum over.
