My mom was a master seamstress, and I cannot tell you how many hours of my childhood were spent following her around fabric stores. She passed from cancer about 4.5 years ago, and whenever I find anything to do with sewing, it makes me think of her โค๏ธ

Ahhhhh I worked on one of these last year! It was really badly messed up, so I couldn't save it, but it was sooo cool!

I just found a Singer 600 for $15 and it was 30% off day - so $10!! I felt like I won the lottery.

The futura is JUNK , they were made with nylon gears that degraded overtime and can't be repaired ๐

This was my exact sewing machine!!! I bought it refurbished with my first tax returns as a 20 year old married woman in the 1970's. Used it like crazy until about 10 years ago!
