2 months agoI couldn’t open my prescription bottles with the pushing down so having a safe space to leave them open was important for me :)
3 months agoI'm three weeks post-op from double incision. I didnt have drains (thankfully) but i have been advised to wear my binder for a bit longer because of lingering fluid/swelling. And honestly, the whole thing was pretty casual. I didnt really have any big emotions leading up to it or afterwards. My lip did start trembling at my post op checkup but overall, I just feel comfortable and like me for the first time in over a decade. I also have an adhesive allergy so i cant tape my incisions (i was told to if I could, but it isnt a big deal if i cant)
3 months agoIf you or someone you know sews, you can make drain pockets that you can safety pin to the inside of your shirts!
3 months agoGot mine done years ago keyhole and it was a easy smooth recovery, my only slip up was accidentally scrubbing a towel after a shower on my nip rather than remembering to dab and accidentally messing one of my stitches, so one of my nips is not 100% circular compared to the other. Nothing a cool tattoo can't fix!
3 months agoPlease listen to your surgeons and follow their advice. I felt absolutely fine right after so I just carried on as normal and absolutely ruined my nipples, I’m now having to pay to have them tattooed on. My surgeon was fantastic but being an idiot I didn’t listen to him telling me to slow down and take time to heal. My chest itself looks amazing
