Autumn is coming, the same season

that creeps inside me and asks for love,
and brings back the past
that is unbearable to carry.

It haunts me in the same season,
yelling over my head,
while I want to ask everyone
please, slow down.

I am not a very fast-moving creature.
I am still trying to drag myself
through the days,
while everyone else keeps moving
and somehow makes me miserable.

I want them to love each other,
to be gentle with each other,
and shower some love on me too.

Because I am a beggar of love.
And being understood—that small, impossible wish, still sits inside me,

unfulfilled,
like something I was never meant to have.
