Some evenings leave you feeling inspired long after they’re over. So honoured to have been invited to Grand Cru in support of @UHNFoundation - thank you to @one.twenty.eight for introducing me to their work. What made this evening so special wasn’t just the incredible food, wine and setting, but the opportunity to celebrate and connect with the people behind the impact - the generous donors, brilliant scientists and researchers, and the many individuals who are helping advance the future of health care. To sit alongside people who are making such a meaningful difference in the lives of others was truly inspiring. It was a beautiful reminder that behind every breakthrough, every clinical trial and every advancement in patient care, there are people who believe in making a difference. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable evening possible and to UHN for including me in such a meaningful celebration. The work being done at University Health Network is extraordinary, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to experience firsthand the passion and generosity that help make it possible. To learn more about UHN and how you can support its groundbreaking work, visit @uhn.foundation Grand Cru look: Photography @georgepimentel1 Makeup @muavee Hair @muaveemakeupstudio_nicolle Tan @tanontherun @tanontherunvaughan Held at the beautiful @casalomatoronto 📸 💃🏼 Hit the link in my story for more photos by @georgepimentel1 Three amigos! @ev_morena @jakenothdurft @one.twenty.eight So nice to have met you finally @quennevillejulie! People seem shocked -genuinely- when I share my experience being called "medically disfigured" "or something to fear" I don't often read these things, but when I do I remember why I almost starved to death after a lifetime of disordered eating. I take pride in that fact that I choose kindness everyday, but I just hope to share with you all the realities that someone who has been unstoppably vulnerable in sharing their ups and downs still gets treated like this on certain corners of the internet. and for the record I am far from what nightmares are made of. #choosekindness
