My first block of oncology 🤍
It was exciting, challenging, and honestly, heavy.
The most difficult part wasn’t learning the medicine, it was learning how to sit with families as they heard a new diagnosis, especially when there wasn’t always a clear or permanent treatment plan to offer.
This block reminded me that medicine is about so much more than the diagnosis, the labs, or the treatment plan. It’s about people, families, hope, uncertainty, and being present during some of the most difficult moments of someone’s life.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to care for these patients and to keep learning how to show up for them.
And if there’s one thing I hope you take from this: treasure the ordinary moments with the people you love. 🤍 #pediatric #medicaljourney #fellowship #doctormom

I can’t forget the week I sat with gyne-oncology team… I cried like 7 times before the end of that day! Breaking cancer news to those women was the hardest thing I ever processed. One even told me to stop crying… I can now imagine what’s like for parents of the babies..! God is your strength nwam🫂🫂😍❤️
