Yep, I don’t understand why people don’t teach their kids their language. It is mad

I was an aupair in Austria for a german family and the little girl I took care of (she was one at the time) would choose the easiest word of both languagues (I am mexican) and go with that one. For example she said "Schue" instead of "zapato" but said "agua" instead of "Wasser". It was AMAZING to see❤️‍🔥.

I always say this parents should teach there kids there native language. Don't be ashamed to teach your kids your culture. It's important they learn.

I m from India. I speak Telugu. My husband speaks Tamil. We live in Bangalore where people speak Kannada. My 4 yr old knows all 3 languages well and is learning English and Hindi in school and from generally observing us parents speak to each other. So rocking 5 languages🔥

This kind of thinking of high expectations to our parents where they must taught you everything for your own adult satisfaction is just cruel. I used to think like this on my young adult phase, and I regretted it immediately after learning what they actually fight for me along the way. My broken english has brought me to places and success I never imagined I can achieve. And along the way, I perfected my not so perfect english and the multi language that I am supposed to know and teach my parents as well. I am Bataknese Indonesian, my mother is half balinese and Japanese great grandma and at work Im using 90% English everyday.
