Today, I lose my best friend, my boy, my biggest pride, and the thing that gives me the most joy in this world. I lose my Buddy. I named him Buddy because of something very simple, he wasn't just a pet, but literally what brought me happiness, what kept my head above water when I was struggling, the reason I could always smile after every bad day. He was always there, ready to great me at the door. Always there for me every night when I needed company and couldn't sleep. So he was given the name Buddy, because he wasn't anything but THE BEST Buddy a man could've ever asked for. For a while, his color read "The #1 Buddy", so that if he ever got lost, the person who found him, knew they found the best boy in the world, and he was loved dearly by someone who needed him. Buddy is only 9 years old, but he was sadly diagnosed with kidney disease and cancer attached around his stomach and liver. I found this news out around one of the worst times in my life when I could hear bad news. When it rains it pours they say. But out of all the bad news I received these past few months, losing my boy was the hardest one to accept. I tried coping in every way possible. Telling myself he can live a few more months, maybe even a year, because he's my Buddy and I need him. But as his health got worse, I realized I was being selfish and he deserves better for how good he was to me. The cancer progressed so fast, that each day, I could see him lose parts of himself. But he still never failed to take my gaming chair, even till the last day. He deserved plenty more years, but i just hope he's being taken care of now and he's happy. He was never just a pet to me, he was where I left my heart so I could be strong. Life without him will be the hardest it has ever been, but i will absolutely never forget the best Buddy I was ever given.
Rest in Peace 🙏🏽 🕊
