The fastest way into someone’s heart is through the people who raised them. 🤝🏡 When you love someone, you don’t just get them. You get their parents, their siblings, their best friends and every person who helped shape who they are. Those relationships came long before you, and they’ll have a voice in your future whether you like it or not. Most people only invest in the person they’re with. The ones who build something that lasts invest in everyone that person loves. They check in on the parents. They show up for a sibling’s big day. They actually make the effort to know the best friend instead of just tolerating them. That kind of effort never goes unnoticed. Your partner sees it. Their family feels it. And slowly, you stop being the person they’re dating and become someone the whole family can’t imagine being without. Every time you invest in the people they love, you’re telling your partner something words never could. You’re not here for part of their life. You’re here for all of it. Love someone well, and honor the people who loved them first.
