Tomorrow night we’ve got Pails/Buckets gracing the Lancaster stage all the way from Edmonton, with local support from Creeek! 🎸🎙️ Pails/Buckets brings a delicate balance of rock, punk, and folk that captures the listener’s attention better than a rock to the head. Their music is a mishmash of different eras of alternative songwriters, retaining the attitudes of indie icons such as Lou Reed and Stephen Malkmus, while occasionally shedding the slacker to perform intimate country-folk numbers. Though 2026 is meant to be the year of the horse, the band is on track to make it one of the bucket. In the first three months of 2026, Pails/Buckets played their first festival gig (Winterruption YEG), their first out of province show (Victoria, BC), and released their debut EP, Western Hog Exchange. The band hopes to keep the momentum going this summer, with a 5-day tour across the prairie provinces! The USA will always be our second home. 🇺🇸❤️ My husband and children are American. We go back multiple times a year and I will always be proud to go back, even when people question why we would want to. We will continue to visit places like Wyoming and Florida, states with a long history of voting Republican, because guess what? That’s their democratic right too! I don’t have to agree with someone’s politics to respect their right to vote differently from me. I genuinely believe we have to lead with love rather than hate. Because if we start treating everyone with different political views as the enemy, what are we actually achieving? We’re just adding to the division. I’ve never hidden the fact that politics played a big part in our decision to leave America. We made the choice we felt was right for our children and their education. But leaving doesn’t mean we stopped loving the country. Far from it. And for those wondering why American politics matters to someone living in the UK, just look at the last decade. We’ve seen political movements and attitudes from America make their way across the Atlantic. What happens over there absolutely has an impact on what happens here. These historic wins are huge for America, but I also think they send a message to the rest of the world. You can love a country and still want better for it. You can disagree with someone’s politics and still respect them. And you can celebrate progress without wishing ill on those who think differently. More love, less hate. Always. ❤️ Our wedding day. The day after i landed in the usa - 5 months pregnant. A small registry office in New Hampshire where people were registering their cars next to me. The lovely lady who worked there printed off some vows for us and we went into the back office. We went for lobster rolls after and then i had a nap. We met though living in the UAE.
