Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras made headlines in 2023 after earning her private pilot’s license at just 17, before even getting her driver’s license. She began flying lessons and ground-school classes in 2020, with support from her father, who was also a pilot. While attending West Boca Raton High School in Florida, she joined the Palm Beach County School District’s Aviation Academy, which helped fund her training. By September 2023, she had passed her aviation knowledge test and accumulated 88 flight hours, earning her private pilot’s license.

She continued advancing her career, eventually obtaining commercial, multi-engine, instrument and certified flight instructor qualifications. In a social media post, she asked, “How often do you see two pilots under 21 with a commercial, multi-engine, instrument, CFI/CFI-I?” She had also accumulated approximately 1,300 flight hours. In an interview, she joked about being able to fly but not drive, saying, “People say, ‘Oh, you can’t drive,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, but I can fly.’”

repost from @codyjackhenderson Epic story time: right before show 1 at Hollywood Bowl, the neck pickup on Joe's 59 Les Paul lost half of its output! We decided not to use it in show 1, and the next day, George Alessandro himself (who provided us a great amp for the show) took me to our good friends at Seymour Duncan to diagnose and repair the neck pickup! MJ is an absolute legend of pickup making and repair. She personally builds all our pickups, for Dazzles, and whatever other guitars we are working on at the time. Of the six guitars we used for the entire Bowl run, she built the pickups for three of the guitars we used, and worked on this one. It only took a handful of winds to find the break. She carefully reassembled the pickup, and off we went! Joe played it on Come Together on night two, and we had a nice reunion with our friend Slash! Thanks so much to Zack Cramp, George, MJ, and everyone at Seymour Duncan for saving this
historic pickup and making the show happen!!

Fortnite’s Solid Gold A$AP Rocky skin is reportedly even rarer than the Pirate Shop Access token.

The golden outfit can drop from any Treasure Chest in Battle Royale during the Treasure Hunters season. Players estimate the odds at around 1 in 1,000,000. The community estimate for the Pirate Shop token, which makes the entire Item Shop free for 14 days, is roughly 1 in 700,000.

Epic has not published official drop rates for either reward. If anyone in your squad finds the skin, the whole squad unlocks it.

The window is short. Solid Gold A$AP Rocky leaves the chest pool on November 7, when the featured reward switches to Lil Uzi Vert.

November is Epilepsy Awareness Month 💜

I’ve gone back and forth about sharing this because, for a long time, epilepsy was just a part of my life that I kept pretty private.

There are so many parts of someone’s story that you can’t see just by looking at them. The fears they’ve carried, the things they’ve had to learn to live with, the moments that have changed them, and the strength they’ve had to find along the way.

Epilepsy is one of those parts of my story.

It has taught me that strength doesn’t always look like being fearless. Sometimes strength is learning how to live fully even when there are things you can’t control. It’s choosing to keep dreaming, laughing, loving people, and showing up for your life without knowing exactly what tomorrow will hold.

There have been moments when I wished this wasn’t part of my story. But looking back, I can also see how much it has shaped the way I see life. It has made me more grateful for ordinary days, more aware of what other people may be carrying silently, and more appreciative of every opportunity I get to do what I love.

Most importantly, I’ve learned that having epilepsy does not make me any less capable, strong, or myself.

I’m still learning. I’m still growing. And I’m still trusting God with the parts of my story that I don’t always understand.

So this month, I’m sharing a piece of mine in hopes that someone else feels a little less alone — and as a reminder to be kind. You truly never know what someone is fighting behind the scenes. 💜

Epilepsy is a part of my story.
It is not the definition of it.
