the last slide is exactly what my car would’ve looked like in 1991–gold, tan interior, and chuki styling. I’ve spent the past couple years slowly piecing together a makeover that would pay homage to it. my insatiable curiosity of 90’s aero paid off and I somehow ended up with a genuine, discontinued east bear lip. I find it super cool that east bear began as a tire shop in 1974 and decided to make original aero parts when the AE86 and R31 gained popularity. I feel very lucky to rep a small piece of them. I may have never spoken about it here, but not a single part on this car is a rep, and that’s important to me not because of bragging rights, but because I deeply respect the artistry and history behind these parts and the individuals involved in creating them ★ you’ll see that I’m still rocking my instant gentleman sideskirts and rear bumper by supermade, and my pro shop b-wave spoiler.
