Meet Dr. Andrew Dorkin, Clemson University Press's acquisitions editor! His path into publishing was what he calls a "happy accident." After studying poetry, earning his undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University at Buffalo, and spending ten years as a professor, he found the perfect opportunity at Clemson University Press.
His favorite part of the job is working with authors at the proposal stage, helping shape ideas into books, and watching those projects come to life. He also enjoys discovering new perspectives by reading work from fields he might never have explored otherwise.
