Mozart’s Sister Documentary

Big news: Mozart’s Sister has been longlisted for a Grierson Award - one of just 8 films selected globally in the Best Arts & Music category. 🏆

This one belongs to a whole village of people - our extraordinary crew, our brilliant contributors, and everyone who believed a 250-year-old mystery was worth telling. Thank you, truly.

And to the other filmmakers longlisted alongside us - what a beautiful set of films to be in company with. Documentary is in very good hands.

I’ve often wondered what Maria Anna Mozart would make of her story being told so many hundreds of years into the future. I’d like to think she’d be quietly pleased. She had fond memories of London - it’s where she and Wolfgang, tucked away while their father recovered from illness, wrote their first symphony together. Two musical kids told not to play music - they had to do something!

Some stories really do wait for the right moment. 🎻
