In a neighborhood of palm-tree-lined streets and houses with perfectly manicured lawns, friends and relatives of Nathalia Filgueiras arrived at her family home to mourn the 20-year-old co-pilot who a day ago plummeted to her death in Florida aboard a Learjet 60 jet alongside eight other victims.

Filgueiras’ mother, her older sister, her stepfather, and her younger sister all gathered in the dining room. With eyes swollen from crying, they wore black and white as they waited to hear from authorities about her remains.

After learning of her death, Allan Filgueiras told NBC News that his daughter was a first officer, better known as the right-seat, second-in-command co-pilot who helps navigate and operate a flight alongside a captain.

شاهزاده رضا پهلوی از روز سه‌شنبه ۱۲ آبان برای انجام یک سلسله دیدارهای عالی‌رتبه با مقام‌های پارلمانی و دولتی اروپا راهی بلژیک و آلمان می‌شود تا حمایت از مردم ایران را تقویت کرده و سیاستی قاطعانه‌تر از سوی اروپا در قبال جمهوری اسلامی دنبال کند.

بر اساس برنامه اعلام‌شده، شاهزاده رضا پهلوی در بروکسل با اعضای ارشد پارلمان اروپا، کمیسیون‌ها و وزیران و نمایندگان دولت بلژیک دیدار خواهد کرد. وی همچنین به دعوت وزیر دفاع بلژیک، در آکادمی نظامی این کشور سخنرانی خواهد کرد. محورهای اصلی سخنرانی او شامل تهدیدات فزاینده جمهوری اسلامی علیه امنیت و منافع اروپا، ضرورت اتخاذ اقدامات قاطع دیپلماتیک و اقتصادی علیه حکومت، و لزوم حمایت عملی بیشتر از مردم ایران از جمله حفظ دسترسی به اینترنت خواهد بود.

روز چهارشنبه، شاهزاده رضا پهلوی در پارلمان اروپا نشست مطبوعاتی با حضور فرانسوا-کگزاویر بلامی، نایب‌رئیس پارلمان اروپا، و خانواده‌های قربانیان کشتارهای دی‌ماه برگزار خواهد کرد.

علاوه بر این، وی روز ۱۶ آبان در فرانکفورت، «جایزه آزادی بنیاد فریدریش ناومان» را به نمایندگی از ملت ایران و به پاس شجاعت و مبارزه پایدار آنان برای آزادی، دمکراسی و حقوق بشر دریافت خواهد کرد. سخنرانی ایشان در این مراسم برای مردم ایران پخش خواهد شد.
