I’ve been teaching for 8 years now.
I haven’t played or practiced much since I started giving lessons because I’ve been so busy, but my swing never changed because I have a strong foundation.

Solid swing technique is everything in golf:
1. Consistency (hitting good shots more often)
With good basics, your swing repeats the same way every time. This helps you hit the ball cleanly and straight instead of having big miss-hits.

2. Distance and Power
When your swing technique is correct, your body transfers energy efficiently into the golf ball. You can hit the ball much farther without having to swing harder.

3. Injury Prevention
A bad swing puts unnecessary stress on your lower back, wrists, and shoulders. Proper mechanics keep your body balanced and protect you from getting hurt.

4. Better Pressure Handling
When you are under pressure (like in a tournament or playing for money with friends), bad habits break down fast. Solid basics give you confidence that holds up when you feel nervous.

5. Faster Improvement & Fixes
When something goes wrong during a round, good fundamentals make it much easier to diagnose and fix your own mistake on the spot.

Breaking news: The Democrats will take control of the House of Representatives for the first time in nearly four years, completing a dramatic shift in power in Washington as Donald Trump’s Republicans are defeated in a string of battleground races.

Violinists are good at dropping and lifting fingers, moving them up and down. But we are not great at controlling the muscles that move the fingers from side to side. And That's what controls intonation.

When doing this exercise:

1. Release before moving rather than slide a heavy finger
2. Use the left side of the finger, the one closest to the G string
3. See if you can keep the finger pretty folded rather than letting it sprawl
4. The point of the exercise is not to shift, so keep the thumb central to the 3 basic pitch positions

The video for @oliviarodrigo’s “take me home (4 christmas)” is out now! I had so much fun playing mom to the hilarious and adorable @benmarshallstyle and imagining what it would be like if the great Olivia Rodrigo showed up on our doorstep for Christmas!

Thank you Olivia for bringing me into your festive wonderland for a day🎄Check out the video now!
