This protest revealed something bigger than the issue itself—it exposed who chose to speak, who chose to stay silent, and how influence is often used selectively.

Celebrities, whether they’re admired for their strength, popularity, or massive reach, carry the power to shape public conversations. When people expect that voice to be used during important moments and it isn’t, disappointment is inevitable.

This isn’t about targeting individuals like Salman Khan or Pearle Maaney. It’s about the growing expectation that public figures stand for something beyond entertainment.

Silence is also a statement. And people are paying attention.

What do you think—should celebrities use their platform on social issues, or should they stay out of them?
