My piece for “Fotos y Recuerdos”. Ima be a lil vulnerable for a sec. If I’m honest when Ivy asked me to be a part of this show I was hesitant at first because I have never publicly shared any childhood photos of myself because my childhood was robbed from me at a very young age and throughout it I never felt safe. Therefore, as an adult I protect little me with my whole heart and have never shared photos of her with strangers. Everything beautiful and kind I do is an ode to her. So in the end, I’m so grateful to be a part of such an important show and I now see this as an opportunity to show the world how soft I’ve remained throughout any and all hardships and traumas I’ve endured. I dedicate this piece to little Christy whom I love and will continue to protect and whom I am endlessly proud of. Thank you Ivy @earth2ink for including her in your vision 🩷
