Wow! I am beyond grateful to have been part of such a wonderful and special production—and what a way to return to the NYC theatre scene!
Thank you to @kindredspiritsproductions1 and @atozartsnyc for believing in me and allowing me to be part of such an incredibly talented cast. And thank you to everyone who came out to support me or purchased tickets online. I am truly overwhelmed by the amount of love and support I received.
Since COVID, I’ve been battling my inner saboteur and fighting that little voice that tells me I’m not good enough, that I don’t deserve opportunities, or that I can’t handle being “front and center.” Needless to say, this experience was exactly the boost I needed.
Did my voice start to conk out on me? OF COURSE. 😂 But it held on just long enough until I made it back home to Virginia.
On January 1, 2026, I made a vision board, and I honestly can’t believe I’m living it. I told myself I was going to start auditioning for more NYC opportunities just to keep putting myself out there. So I did.
Then I wrote down that I wanted to perform at either Green Room 42 or 54 Below this year… and somehow I ended up doing it!
I’m so incredibly proud of myself, and I’m praying this is only the beginning of even more opportunities. God is so good, and I can already feel my confidence growing again.
A huge thank you to @treston.henderson for the voice lessons while I was in New York. If you’re looking for a voice teacher, book with him ASAP—you won’t regret it!
Here’s to continuing to dream big, trust the process, and keep saying “yes” to opportunities. 💕
