Prompted by the attack on Pride in Berlin, and pervasively relevant these days…

I seek the best words to express a truth that extends far beyond this event.

I start with “I feel sorry for”’ people who resort to violence because they may not be able to articulate their feelings and frustrations.

Then I also think of people who find the words, but not the avenue, to resolve or reconcile those feelings and beliefs.

Then I think of groups who do the same.

Then I think of governments who do the same.

All the while, the people they hate are simply living their lives.

And I mourn for humankind.
