. Emotional numbness ❔ -in progress- A reminder of how often, in our daily lives, we are physically present but completely absent mentally. I’m sure, we’ve all experienced these moments. We look at the perfectly curated lives of strangers, compare ourselves to them, keep scrolling and in the process, we miss the real moment, that’s happening right before our eyes. When was the last time you really looked at someone? Or the last time you were fully present in the here and now? My painting should be a wake-up call to consciously put down our screens every now and then, to reconnect with the people around us without filters, to listen to them and to choose real, imperfect life over the digital illusion. Because at the end of the day, no screen in the world can replace the feeling of genuine human connection. Isn’t it worth it? #art #thoughts #painting #portrait #bettinapeterart
The best surprise 40th birthday weekend ♥️ feeling very loved and very spoilt. The biggest thank you to my family and my girls, who, let’s be real, I would be lost without
The official specs of the RE Himalayan 750 are out! @varunpainter gives a download on everything you need to know about the latest ADV-tourer and possibly the most important one for the year! Couple of things to note here: The thing that’s carried on from the 650 - Rubbers, gaskets, timing chain and some gearbox components. Claimed top speed is 160kmph and 90% of the torque kicks is as early as 3500RPM! #PowerDrift #RoyalEnfield #Himalayan750 #REHimalayan750 #RoyalEnfieldHimalayan (Royal Enfield Himalayan 750, new Himalayan 750 specifications, Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 engine, Himalayan 750 top speed, Himalayan 750 torque)

I’ve spent years building my brand… and now I’m building the fashion house to go with it. Creating the House of Holland Cooper has been such a personal dream of mine. A flagship that celebrates everything I love about beautiful spaces, exceptional service and the magic of physical retail. I can’t quite believe we’re about to open the doors.. Saturday 7th November at 10am. I’ll be there and would absolutely love to meet you. Comment OPENING and I’ll DM you all the details. Love, Jade X
Class is in session for A History of Design. Lesson two: the Georgians 🏛️ Strap yourselves into your corsets, because we’re heading back to 1714–1830 to explore the era of symmetry, proportion, sash windows and fireplaces that refuse to be overlooked. From grand Georgian architecture and floor-to-ceiling panelling to the early influence of Thomas Chippendale, dado rails (which, FYI, had rather practical origins) and those deliciously moody historic paint colours. All of which goes some way to explaining why Georgian interiors feel so effortlessly right. And yes, this is a LONG one. We’re going long-form, baby. Ever heard of it?! 😜 I jest, but I do worry about what all these short and snappy reels are doing to our attention spans, so here’s a healthy 2 minutes and 30 seconds of interior design nerdiness. You’re welcome. Give me a 🏛️ in the comments if you made it to the end, and thank you again, for indulging me in a little history lesson. Next lesson: arches. Class dismissed.
