β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉMy cast is off and the healing & recovery begin! β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉA week ago today I was freed from my cast. Little did I know that the aftermath of being locked πŸ”’ in a cast for 11 weeks would be so intense! I wasn’t truly prepared for the struggle. βœ‹My hand and fingers are very stiff, swollen and painful. I can’t make a complete fist or flatten my hand yet. Because I had a complicated break my supination and pronation of my wrist/arm is the greatest challenge. I have lost strength and muscle tone in my forearm & triceps and my shoulder is locked up from doing all the work the past 11 weeks! ❀️As you can see I have a long road to recovery! The mental game is SO IMPORTANT to this healing journey. A positive mindset is key πŸ”‘ when facing daily struggles. Focusing on gratitude, positive affirmations, prayer, meditation and deep breathing have always been a part of my morning routine, but now more than ever, I am leaning on these tools throughout the days & evenings! ➑️➑️➑️SWIPE to see what I am doing to help myself ease into this rehab and recovery phase with strength, patience, faith, and hope! πŸ’ͺI am not allowed to lift anything heavier than a plastic water bottle for the first two weeks; so mobility work and one arm training continue! πŸ’ͺ❀️πŸ’ͺThe goal is to train smart, trust the process and heal well so that I will hang onto lifelong movement, strength & mobility! πŸ₯°Wishing you all a Magical Monday and a Wonderful week ahead! πŸ’ͺ❀️πŸ’ͺLet’s rock this week! πŸ₯°Keep up the amazing work and thank you all for the beautiful encouragement and support! ❀️I appreciate you all! #injuryrecovery #myhealingjourney #barefoottraining #gettingbettereveryday #mindsetmatters

Colostomy Reversal Surgery Post Op- breaking out soon. --------------------------------------------------------- Things are getting better each day with my stool, albeit a strenuous process, but an expected one. My original abdominal skin graft had to be cut open during surgery so that's the biggest hurdle right now. Just giving it some TLC every day and good vibes. My medical team has been nothing short of incredible. To say I'm grateful would be a ridiculous understatement. Still a long road ahead, but we are here for it🦾 Major Shoutout to the homies @chrisjacobs.realtor & @donutoperator for connecting with @frontline.heroes.outdoors who graciously lent me a wheelchair suited to what I need temporarily. . . . . . #NeverAVictim

Make yourself loud in this moment and try to keep eye contact with me. . . Let’s regulate our nervous system together. . Pretend we’re the only two people in the room and actually do these ancient techniques. . . Let go. Clear your mind. Focus on the breath. Also… How are you? How is your day? Your week? Your month? Tell me anything <3 #mentalhealth #anxietyrelief #connection #anxiety calm
