📖 #James1 12-18✝️ #12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. #13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: #14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. #15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. #16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. #17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. #18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. #James 1:12-18 explains that God does not cause temptation. Instead, trials test and strengthen a believer's faith, personal desires lead to sin and death, and God remains the unchanging source of all goodness and spiritual rebirth. #Enduring #Trials and the #Crown of #Life (Verse 12) #Perseverance: Standing strong through hard times brings God's approval. #The #Reward: God promises eternal life ("the crown of life") to those who love Him. #The #Source of #Temptation (Verses 13–15) #Not #from #God: God is holy and never tempts anyone to do evil. #Internal #Desire: Sin starts inside a person when they let their own wrong desires lure them away. #The #Result: Acting on that desire produces sin, and unrepentant sin leads to spiritual death. #God’s #Unchanging #Goodness (Verses 16–17) #Giver #of #Good: Every good and perfect blessing comes from God. #Unchanging: Unlike shifting shadows or changing lights in the sky, God's character never changes. #Spiritual #Rebirth (Verse 18) #New #Life: God chose to give believers new spiritual life through the message of truth. #Firstfruits: Christians are set apart as a special, valued beginning of God’s new creation.
