It was a truly wonderful night celebrating Melbourne Theatre Company’s Uncle Vanya.
A huge congratulations to PARR Management’s Don Bridges on another outstanding performance as Telyeghin, alongside the brilliant cast: Daniel Henshall, Catherine Văn-Davies, Fayssal Bazzi, Carolyn Bock, Evelyn Krape, Philippa Northeast and Shaun Micallef.
Congratulations also to director Anne-Louise Sarks, adaptor Joanna Murray-Smith, and the entire creative team whose artistry has breathed new life into this timeless Chekhov classic. And a special thank you to the casting team Janine Snape and Charlotte Lewis. Productions like these are a wonderful reminder of why live theatre is so important.
If you’re looking for something special to experience, make sure you get along to Uncle Vanya and continue supporting the incredible artists, creatives and companies that make our Melbourne’s theatre scene one of the best in the world. Every ticket helps keep the arts thriving.
Bravo to everyone involved—and especially to our wonderful Don.
Uncle Vanya, by Anton Chekhov, adapted by Joanna Murray-Smith and directed by Anne-Louise Sarks, plays at Arts Centre Melbourne’s Playhouse until 22 August. Tickets from $75 plus booking fee.
