🚨AM I RAISING AN ENTITLED KID???🚨

You say no to them and it’s instant chaos - meltdown, arguing, insisting, the “but whyyyy” on repeat - just the way they expect you to drop everything the SECOND they want something.

And you have that split-second spiral like “Wait… is this just a typical kid thing?? Or do I have an overly entitled kid on my hands??”

As a child therapist, I hear this all the time - listen, I’ve had the thought myself. It’s GOOD to pause and ask yourself this. We love our kids so damn much but none of us want to raise a kid who can’t handle “no,” who expects everything to go their way, or who falls apart the second things don’t. It’s just not good for real life.

This substack article is ⚡️the Therapist’s Guide to NOT Raising an Entitled Kid⚡️, and it breaks down exactly how to handle entitlement and the 7 concrete, science-backed shifts that build kids who can handle “no,” move through disappointment, and don’t expect the world to revolve around them.

It’s all about building the actual skills your kid needs to function in real life. The way you handle “no” today is shaping who your child becomes tomorrow.

Day 1
La Famiglia Moto Guzzi 🤝 Aprilia
Gorontalo - Manado 🏍️

Hari pertama touring Sulawesi, start dari Gorontalo menuju Kotamobagu dengan jarak sekitar 236km & waktu tempuh 5 jam. ✨

Menyusuri jalur trans Sulawesi di sepanjang garis pantai selatan di utara pulau, melewati Bilungala, Taludaa, Dimamalia, Negerilama, Beniha sebelum berbelok menuju jalur tengah di Salongo dan lanjut sampai Kotamobagu. 🙌

Sebelum finish hari pertama, kami singgah di Tempat Bakudapa untuk makan malam, sekaligus merayakan keluarga kami yang berulang tahun, Happy B’day Bu @aziaratna 🎂🙌
