Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) is Real Violence
Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) is not “just online”—it is real violence with real consequences. Abuse through social media, messaging apps, email, or other digital platforms can cause emotional, psychological, social, financial, and even physical harm.
TFGBV includes online harassment, cyberstalking, non-consensual sharing of intimate images, threats, doxxing, impersonation, and other forms of digital abuse. These actions can silence voices, limit opportunities, damage reputations, and affect the safety and well-being of survivors.
Everyone deserves to feel safe both online and offline. Speak up against digital abuse, support survivors with empathy, and promote respectful online spaces. Together, we can help end Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence.
