600 years of frozen time, captured within the boundary.
Overlooking the fast-moving clouds, the sun and the moon shifts.
Wind moves through the trees, bringing the seasons.
Snow falls, then spring returns.
But there is more than just experiencing time differences.
The rocks captured in that frozen time, the fifteen precious stones we love to stare at continue right outside the walls, in a strange, peculiar order.
And as you walk further away from Ryōan-ji, they slowly become part of natures grammar again.
Now you see, every rock was always one of fifteen. #zen #meditation #awakening
