Matthew 19:26 🤍
I can’t believe I’m writing this. 1 year sober :). And first thing is I wanna say is thank you God from the bottom of my heart. Couldn’t have done it without You.
Second thank you goes to my mom and my family, who have been the biggest supporters through thick and thin. I truly got blessed with a strong, loving and united family.
I wasn’t going to share this publicly, but speaking with my mom about this day, she made me realize that my testimony may help somebody who also felt/feels alone and in the dark…so here it is haha.
Addiction and recovery isn’t just stopping something that’s not good for you. It’s choosing EVERY single day to stop being dependent on something that keeps you from moving forward. It’s hard and lonely, but it shows you strength you might’ve not even know you had.
I could go on and on about my journey and show so many images I have, but I wanted to share this more so because I wanted to show that change DOES exist. No matter how broken, how ugly or how shameful it might feel.
You are valuable and worthy with your mistakes included, because that’s what makes you YOU. I wouldn’t make the mistakes I made now, but if it weren’t for those mistakes, I wouldn’t have gotten to know God and the peace He brings.
I still am not where I want to be in life, but I’m out of that cycle that was slowly killing me and I’m falling in love with the life God intended for me. I feel Him in the people I meet, the places I see and the way dance feels now.
I hope this message gives you a glimpse of hope.
You are not alone, you are loved, seen and worthy🤍. Keep pushing, keep fighting cause you might be closer than you think :).

The Lord Jesus Christ is the truth and I testify to this through my own life. ✝️ For many years, I was trapped in deep darkness. Depression, inner emptiness, anger, bitterness, alcohol addiction, and impure thoughts controlled my life. I believed in God, but I did not live with Him. I did not drink every day, but I was trapped in a constant cycle of thoughts. I lived from one day to the next, waiting only for the next opportunity to drink so that I could escape from reality and from my problems. The only thing that kept me from being drunk every day was my family. No matter how hard I tried to change through my own strength, I always fell back into the same patterns. When I reached the end of my strength, I began to seek God with all my heart. I prayed at home, in my car, and outside in nature. One day, I fell to my knees and cried out: “God, please fill me with Your Holy Spirit!” Suddenly, I physically felt a power flowing through me from above. A deep peace and an indescribable love filled me. The darkness lifted, the depression disappeared, and the chains of hatred, bitterness, and impure thoughts were broken. Not through my own strength, but through Jesus Christ! 🕊️ Later, the Lord also set me free from my addiction to smoking. After more than thirty years, I became free, without any withdrawal symptoms. Immediately after I was born again, I also stopped drinking alcohol completely. For many months, I did not drink a single drop. But later, I stumbled. An old friend contacted me, and I fell back into my former patterns. The next day, I wept bitterly. Everything within me hated what had happened, but I had become weak. I sincerely asked God to forgive me. Several months later, it happened again. The periods between these failures became longer and longer, but I still could not completely break that final chain. Then one day, I came before God with complete honesty and prayed: “God, in the name of the Lord Jesus, I want to worship You with my life. I want to live in a way that brings You joy. I also want to give up alcohol completely for You. But I must honestly tell You this: if You do not help me, I am not able to stop.”
