In a desperate election day move, Trump claimed he reached a deal with Benjamin Netanyahu to end US military aid to Israel — which some are calling “a seismic shift in American foreign policy.” But that’s not what’s actually happening. In July, the House voted 216-212 to pass a national defense authorization act that takes a huge step towards meshing the U.S. and Israeli militaries. Instead of ending military aid, they’re moving it into the Pentagon budget, and mandating more integration with the Israeli military, not less. It’s finally here! Lucy Tonkin Fit online coaching is officially OPEN. 🤩 I grew up sporty and have always loved fitness, but when it came to training and nutrition, I felt completely lost. I only trained lower body, missed days, wasn’t eating enough to fuel myself, and ran way too hard every run until I convinced myself I just wasn’t a runner. Training felt like a chore, and I couldn’t work out why I wasn’t seeing results. Then I learnt to move explosively, train each body part in different ways, and why recovery matters. I fell in love with conditioning and running, and once I started training myself, I built a routine I look forward to every week. I’m running the best I ever have, and the gym never feels like a chore. Now I want to share it with girls who feel the way I used to. I want to preface, this isn’t just for athletes. It’s for anyone who wants to push themselves, build a powerful body, and feel strong in every area of life. What’s included: ⚡️ Personalised training programs ⚡️ Nutrition plan & macro tracking ⚡️ Weekly check-ins & progress reviews ⚡️ Progress tracking & adjustments ⚡️ Ongoing 1:1 support & accountability ⚡️ Exercise tutorials so you know exactly what you’re doing DM me “STRONG” or tap the link in my bio to enquire. I’m happy to answer any questions, and will schedule a time to chat ⭐️
Haitians Honor Their Ancestors Through Fèt Gede, a Two-Day Celebration of Life, Death, and Tradition Every year on November 1 and 2, Haitians in Haiti and across the diaspora observe Fèt Gede, one of the most meaningful celebrations in Haitian Vodou. It is a time to honor loved ones who have passed away, remember our ancestors, and celebrate the connection between the living and the dead. During Fèt Gede, Vodou practitioners gather at cemeteries to pray, light candles, make offerings, and pay their respects. Some wear black, purple, and white, while others celebrate through music, dancing, and traditional ceremonies. At the heart of the celebration are the Gede spirits, who are associated with death, ancestors, and the cycle of life. Baron Samedi and Manman Brigitte are among the best-known spirits connected to these traditions. While Fèt Gede takes place around the same time as All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, it has its own deep roots in Haitian history, spirituality, and culture. For many Haitians, Fèt Gede is more than a day of remembrance. It is a celebration of those who came before us and the traditions that continue to connect generations. #lunionsuite #haitianamerican
