THREE WEEKS BEFORE MY ANAND KARAJ, I HAD TO UNDERGO SURGERY 🥹🤍 A part of my wedding journey I haven’t shared… until now. Just three weeks before one of the biggest days of my life, I unexpectedly found myself undergoing surgery. A time that should have been filled with excitement and wedding preparations was suddenly filled with pain, recovery and uncertainty. I couldn’t lift anything heavy, I couldn’t sit for long, and all I could do was pray that I would be well enough for the day I had dreamed of. I remember my sister carrying my bridal outfit when we went to collect it because I physically couldn’t. A small gesture, but one I’ll never forget. 🤍 And despite everything, I still had my own beautiful brides to look after. A special thank you to @divyamendi for taking over my booking on the day of my surgery, and to my brides who came to my home for their mehndi, patiently allowing me to take breaks when sitting became too painful. Your kindness meant more than you’ll ever know. 🥹🤍 And then came 13.09.2026. 🤍 The day I was blessed to marry my best friend in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. What many didn’t realise was that I was still recovering. I couldn’t sit on the floor during my Anand Karaj, so I had to stand. Looking back at my wedding photographs, I see more than a bride in her dream lehenga. I see strength, love, family and the people who helped me through moments when I couldn’t do everything myself. Because behind some of our happiest moments are battles nobody knows we’re fighting. Forever grateful to my family, my loved ones and, above all, Waheguru for carrying me through it all.
