A shadow stepped into the store,
Torn between two shirts on the floor.
One of Black silk like a pearl in the night,
One of White linen, cathing the light.
Black was bold, a midnight classic,
White was peace, wrapped in radiance,
Black felt fancy, white felt calm.
For hours it wavered, caught in between,
But finally choses Black to step on the scene
Only to find the white had been sold,
Leaving the shadow right back out in the cold.
