SURPRISE! WE’RE MARRIED 🎉
10 days ago we ran off to Queenstown in New Zealand to elope. With the backdrop of the mountains behind us, we got married. It was such a laid back, relaxing, fun filled day that we had the pleasure of sharing with @ashly.margret.photography and @rachael_calvert_weddings 🤎
We had originally planned a bigger wedding, but ultimately decided it wasn’t “us”. We had always toyed with the idea of running away and not telling anyone. Didn’t think we’d actually do it but here we are!
That’s not to say that we wouldn’t have wanted our family and friends to be a part of our day, but having our day be “intimately us” without conforming to the social norms of the world we live in today felt incredible, It felt honest and most importantly it felt true to who we are as a couple.
Ash - you are not only a phenomenal photographer, but an incredible friend. You made us feel so at ease and comfortable infront of the camera. The photos are absolutely stunning and we’re obsessed!!
Rach - your beautiful ceremony that you created for us was so unique and special to us. Your storytelling is incredible and exactly the reason we chose you. Among many other redeeming qualities. We’re so lucky to not only have had you as our celebrant, but our wonderful friend!
To be able to share this moment with the world feels incredible and we’re so excited for the next chapter ahead 🤎
