It's a reality check for every aspiring musician/creator who wants to sustain a living at their craft. Warning: It will scare you. More and more I belive that you have to be born with a deep calling to be a musician in order to swim in these high waters with so much uncertainty. You will be putting your loved ones through a lot of instability inadvertently. If you get into it for any other reason than a pure love for the art-form, you will for sure burn out sooner or later. On the other hand (and I speak for myself here)...if you are born with this sort of musician's soul, you really have no choice than to go for it or pay an even higher price. You may end up with all the material success, capital and clout... while battling worsening depression as you age. (Yikes) "Know thyself" is time- less advice as old as time itself !
