This fascinating comic map of Europe, created in 1871, transforms the continent into a collection of exaggerated characters and political stereotypes. Each country is represented through humorous illustrations reflecting the rivalries, conflicts and national identities of the time, offering a glimpse into how Europeans viewed one another during the 19th century.

Published during a period of enormous political change, the map reflects tensions surrounding the Franco Prussian War, the unification of Germany and the shifting balance of power across Europe. Although intended as satire, its illustrations reveal the prejudices, fears and political attitudes of the era, making it a fascinating piece of historical propaganda. 🗺️📜

This trip has been a dream! Have been able to see and catch up with so many old friends/legends it’s crazy! The @johnnyradzpizza art show was almost overwhelming with so old friends but a great time nonetheless thank you @mikemcgill for the hospitality!
Skated the new Mira Mesa park with @jamiethomas and the @zeroskateboards crew! Pretty surreal.
