The Boys, Mikey, and the Hunt Every weekend, Mikey and the boys had one goal: get outside and make the most of the day. They’d wake up early, load their gear, and head into the woods before the sun was fully up. During hunting season, they quietly walked the trails, watching for deer, turkeys, and other wildlife. Even when they didn’t bring anything home, they enjoyed being outdoors, telling stories, and learning more about the woods with each trip. Once hunting season was over, the woods became their battlefield for games of dye. Wearing old clothes they didn’t mind getting stained, they split into teams and spent hours hiding behind trees, sneaking through brush, and trying to outsmart each other. Every match was filled with laughter, close calls, and friendly competition. By the end of the day, everyone was covered in colorful splatters and dirt, exhausted from running through the forest. They’d gather around a small campfire, cook some food, and replay the funniest moments from the day. For Mikey and the boys, it wasn’t about winning or losing. Whether they were hunting at sunrise or playing dye games until sunset, the best part was spending time together and making memories that would last for years
