HAPPY halloween :)
In my late 20s I lived on tuna, apples. All for a guy I met at Fishos. 🙈 Big night out, went home with a guy after drinking waaaay to much. He asked me to come and see him in Melbourne. So I basically starved myself. It worked. I have a photo of me lying by my parents’ pool with abs. What the photo doesn’t show is my hair falling out, the exhaustion, the heavy, painful periods, and the nights I couldn’t sleep. I didn’t care. I just wanted to look good for him. What I’d tell 20 something Kitty: 1️⃣ Stop chasing these guys (and don’t go home with them the first night) 2️⃣ You don’t need another diet. You were already at a healthy weight 3️⃣ Eat enough food, carbs included, and get strong instead of killing yourself with HIIT classes 4️⃣ Every time you do this to yourself, it comes back 5️⃣ The body you’re chasing won’t make you feel enough. You have to do that part yourself and I’d give myself a big hug Now I’m nearly 46. I eat ice cream every night, I don’t fast, I don’t take anything to suppress my appetite, and I have no perimenopausal symptoms. If you’re in your 40s and still doing some version of tuna and apples, comment MIDLIFE and I’ll send you the free training on how I restored my metabolism, fixed my relationship with my body, and built a strong, healthy body in midlife👇 What would you tell your 20-something self? 👇 #midlife #womenover40 #nustrength

Voters in 17 states have elected female governors, setting a record in Tuesday’s election as Democrats made sweeping gains in races up and down the ballot. Democratic women made historic gains in battleground states for their party, with former public health official Amy Acton in Ohio and state Rep. Gina Hinojosa in Texas emerging victorious in races that were not initially expected to be competitive. Acton in Ohio, Hinojosa in Texas, Blackburn in Tennessee, Amy Klobuchar in Minnesota, Helena Foulkes in Rhode Island and Keisha Lance Bottoms in Georgia picked up governorships currently held by men. The previous record for female governors serving at once was 14, a mark that was reached briefly last year and achieved again and sustained in the next year, after Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger and New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill, both Democrats, were sworn in following 2025 election wins. Read more at the link in bio.
