Take the logo off. Would you still buy it? YES or NO below. The logo used to carry everything: the story, the quality, the status. That’s what luxury brands were selling. Now people look at the material, the experience and whether it will still feel right in ten years. That’s what makes a brand luxury today, and a decade ago nobody cared. More like this in my newsletter Sharpest Move (link in bio). #luxury #branding #xeniatchoumi
Got home yesterday, late afternoon. Up super early this morning so as not to waste a second in the house. Damn fine cup of coffee being relished by me while watching the cats pad around, as they occasionally throw a slightly contemptuous look my way. I’ve managed to desperately hug five out of the six of them so far however Margo Leadbetter remains deeply annoyed at my prolonged absence. I have high hopes that later today she might allow me to sit near her. In the meantime she’s letting me appreciate her magnificence from afar. It’s lovely to be home.

Thank you for having me (and I can’t believe I’m typing this) Late Night with Seth Meyers, to talk about dear old @snluk. Me first ever chat show! In NEW YORK no less. With the loveliest man in television, and a team of the most welcoming people on earth. Now watch me do multiple captions for the first ever time… A polaroid of a horrid little goblin in NYC. Shooting the breeze with the team 😎. Me on my way to tell everyone the exciting story of how I finally got a cordless hoover. LOOK how glamorous the set is 😭 oh and what’s that, some compliments on my outfit? Styled, as ever, by one of my favourite human beings alive (or dead!) @raphaelcastelmezzano in various vintage bits. C***y little earring model’s own 😏, catchphrase by @elliefulcher and @instalorns 🪶 Me name in lights!! Seeing my name on my hotel TV before promptly falling asleep too early to see the show air due to persistent jetlag. And finally, reunited with @cuecardwally_official who taught us everything we know!! 💖 Seeing my name on my hotel TV before promptly falling asleep too early to see the show air due to persistent jetlag.
