Some people reach for their phone first thing.
I reach for my shoes. 🌅
There's a stretch of road by my campsite where the sun comes up over the treeline.
I've walked it enough mornings now that I know exactly where to stop and look up.
That's the whole practice.
No headphones. No podcast. No rushing.
Just me, the quiet, and a running list of everything I'm grateful for.
I grew up the oldest of ten on a farm.
Quiet was not something we had a lot of.
Maybe that's why I protect it so fiercely now.
That half hour before the world wakes up is where I sort out what actually matters —
and hand the rest of it over to God. 🙏
I don't come back with my problems solved.
I come back steadier.
Grateful for the day before it's had a chance to get complicated.
Stress is going to find all of us.
So tell me — what's your reset? 👇
A walk. The gym. Music. A good book. Twenty minutes alone in the car before you go inside.
I'm always looking to add to my list.
