3 months ago@sejones717 grass is dying because it is an un natural plant that requires alot of maintenance. Native plants that you call 'weeds' are hardy and can grow in harsh conditions, but they support the ecosystem. Ragwort for example does well in hot climates and supports cinnabar moths, dandelions support many pollinators. Let them grow!
3 months agoMany weeds are ancient plants that have evolved over time to become tough as nails. They're survivors and will likely be around long after humans are gone.
3 months agoIt's because the weeds have deep tap roots to reach for water, whereas the grass is shallow rooted and goes dormant.
