Story is not the most important. I've seen this a lot of times. It's not true. A great story without great execution makes a bad movie. A great story without proper lighting and without proper focus on the lens makes the story to not stand out. And that's only an example about thecnical importance. We can say lots of more: acting, directing, etc... But point is: everything is important not just the story. Hell I've been movies with bad story or weak story's and been successful films. Is it s good film? That's subjective. Is it succesful? That's not subjective. So what's most important in a movie is that it connects with its audience if you do that it dosnt matters anything else. And to connect with your audience you need a great story a great technical work, great acting great directing, great psychological understanding of how to give emotions to your audience trough your film and that would make s great movie. Not only the story.
