I said what I said.
I made this video a few months after I was sexually assaulted myself, and after the police dropped my case.
Iโm sharing this because I want to bring awareness to something that should never need explaining: no means no.
When someone says theyโve been r@ped or s3xually assaulted, one of the first questions theyโre often asked is, โWhat did you do to lead to that?โ
But the question should never be what they did to cause it. The responsibility belongs to the person who chose to cross that boundary.
Spiking someoneโs drink is not consent.
Someone being drunk is not consent.
What someone wears is not consent.
And someoneโs kindness, flirting, or choice to spend time with you is not consent.
A personโs body is never something you are entitled to take.
Iโm not sharing this to attack anyone. Iโm sharing it because conversations like this matter, and because I hope we can create a world where survivors are met with support and compassion rather than blame.
No means no. Always.
