LET ME BE🏳️‍🌈

I finally finished “Let Me Be”—my imaginative artwork inspired by my coming out story. I’ve come out more times than I can count, yet some people still don’t get it, and some never will. This piece is about wanting nothing more than to show your true colors in a world that constantly tries to silence, change, or hide who you are. Society, governments, laws, and the rules people create may try to define us, but they will never change who we truly are.
The octopus tentacles represent the darkest parts of our journey—the fear, rejection, shame, and struggles that have tried, or are still trying, to pull us away from our true selves.

To anyone who’s still fighting to be accepted: stay proud, stay bold, and never hide your true colors. Keep shining, keep speaking your truth, and never let anyone convince you that you deserve to be anything less than yourself.
