Elton and Ringo join Marc Bolan on this killer version of the T. Rex classic “Children Of The Revolution”. The performance was filmed for the 1972 movie “Born to Boogie”. It was shot at Apple Studios in London (the Beatles’ recording studio where “Get Back” was filmed).

But let’s be honest, we came here for a legendary Marc bolan/starr/john performance, but stayed for the bongo player.

When I discovered the old Marc bolan Elton john performances and videos, it changed my life! This one is my favorite because it’s actual a different recording than the studio version of Marc bolans song, and majorly features Elton’s trademark rhythmic piano riffs

A true supergroup in action! 🤩Elton and Bernie wrote “Teenage Idol” as a tribute to Marc Bolan, as did David Bowie with his song “Lady Stardust”. T. Rex were on top of the world in 1972.
