❤️ The impossibility of loss. For those who were close to Glen Hansard — friends, partners, musicians — and for those of us who followed him from further away. The frozen faces of his closest musicians in St Patrick’s Cathedral. And now all these stories, photographs, songs and concerts resurfacing, being shared and revisited. There is something brave about it. Almost defiant. And it keeps pulling me deeper into the extraordinary body of work Glen left behind — but even more into the warmth, generosity and connections behind it. A person dies. Their relationships do not. I want to see what remains. What has changed. What is beginning. Where do all these people, songs and stories meet again? Thomas, I'm hoping to track down the raw footage from the show we shot at Poisson Rouge back in maybe 2011. I know there's a lot of the two of you in there. Sending my condolences and admiration.
