I've known about
@albinoandpreto for years. A lot of my friends have gotten into either golf or jiu-jitsu, and whenever the conversation came up, their name was always mentioned.
Running has always been my sport, and with kids, it's hard to find time to pick up another hobby. So while I never got into jiu-jitsu myself, I had a lot of respect for what Albino & Preto had built.
I met Arvie (@arvieg) through Jayson (@jaysonxpalacio), the photographer behind this year's City Rings campaign. At first, I knew him simply as the person behind the brand. But the more time I spent with him, the more I realized that he isn't just someone who makes clothing he's a true creative.
Everything he does is intentional. There's thought behind every collection, every detail, and every decision. That's something I didn't fully appreciate until I had the chance to get to know him personally.
Beyond his work, Arvie is genuinely one of the coolest people I've met. He's humble, welcoming, and has absolutely no ego just someone who's passionate about what he creates and the community he's built around it.
One of my favorite parts of the City Rings campaign is getting to hear people's stories. Even though I didn't know much about Arvie before inviting him to be part of this year's campaign, every conversation we've had since has only reinforced that he was the right person to include.
I'm grateful he said yes, and I'm honored to share a small part of his journey with all of you.
