LEARJET CRASHES INTO PALM BEACH COUNTY MOBILE HOME PARK

The FAA says a Learjet 60 crashed near Cresthaven in Greenacres at 12:50 PM today, with nine people on board. The jet departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, bound for North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue has declared a mass casualty incident. Multiple fatalities have been reported, but officials have not released a count or the conditions of the nine on board, or whether anyone on the ground was hurt.

Military Trail is closed in both directions between Cresthaven Boulevard and 10th Avenue North until further notice, per the Sheriff's Office. Avoid the area.

This dashcam video is circulating on social media from a driver in the area. Its source remains unverified, but the location, timing and fireball shown match up with official reports from the area this afternoon.

The FAA and NTSB will investigate, with the NTSB in charge. Information is preliminary and subject to change.
