This pattern was inspired by the classic Barrel of Monkeys toy (and the banana patterns I made recently). Although the monkeys are a novelty item and have a certain retro appeal, strung together they create a curvy stripe that can look decorative, feminine, or, surprisingly enough, even a bit ornate.
