Happy birthday, Alicen. 🤍
It’s been a really hard year learning how to miss you. Today, Catherine and I went to Cookeville to visit your memorial with flowers, only to find the park closed.
Naturally, we jumped the fence with Mateo, watched him chase ducks around the lake, and hid from the maintenance crew so we wouldn’t get caught trespassing. 😂 Somehow, it felt like the most Alicen-like way we could have celebrated you.
Today I’m choosing to hold onto the bright moments—the laughter, the adventures, and all the pieces of you that are still with us.
