If you’re stretching your hip flexors, check if you’re making this common mistake.

You get into your favorite stretch, usually some kind of lunge, and judge it by the angle between your trunk and thigh, and since it looks deep and feels intense, you assume it’s working.

But there’s a piece missing, because between your trunk and thigh sits your pelvis, which moves on its own. If you measure the angle between your pelvis and thigh instead, you’ll often see that the hip isn’t really in extension, so even though you feel tension, it isn’t hitting your hip flexors.

Instead, bring your back leg slightly forward to take off some tension and free up your pelvis, and then tuck your pelvis under. That tuck is what creates the hip extension, because when the leg is fixed, you can extend the hip by rotating the pelvis around the head of the femur.

If you look at the angles again, you’ll see that even though the leg is less far back, the hip is more extended, which means the stretch is finally targeting what you wanted.

Now keep that pelvis position and do your work from there.

No ka, tämmöstä myö täällä Joensuussa (meniks tää oikein??)😍

Lounaalla meidän vakkaripaikka on @heinosenleipomo 😍🤟🏼

Parasta lounasta, mut myös aivan liian hyvää leipää JA leivonnaisia.🤯😍

Täällä on muutenkin ihan mielettömästi erilaisia ruokapaikkoja. Yhtenä iltana käytiin maistelemassa Ramenia. 🍜

Ollaan testattu täällä myös paikallinen pizza sekä kreikkalainen rafla.🤤

Vapaapäivänä tutustuttiin Pohjois-Karjalan historiaan Museo Elielissä.

En ees muista, koska olisin ollut museossa. Ihan SUPER! Opittiin paljon Pohjois-Karjalan historiasta, mut samalla tosi tärkeää oppia Suomen historiasta. 🇫🇮

Nää Pohjois-Karjalaiset kansanasut oli mielenkiintoisia.

Jotenkin kiehtovaa nähdä, miltä suomalaiset naiset on näyttänyt.

Tää on kyl urheilukaupunki isolla U:lla. ⛹️

Meille suositeltiin testata täällä myös avantopaikat. Onttolassa sijaitseva Lykynlampi oli UPEA. Saunatilat UPEAT.

Ei voi olla palautumatta.😍😂

Toinen ihana avantopaikka on Vehkalahdessa, jossa toimii avantouintiseura Joensuun Jääkarhut. Tää paikka oli ihan täynnä jo nyt, eli tää on super suosittu!

Ihana miljöö lähellä kaupunkia. 👌🏼🏊🏼‍♀️

Oon täällä tehnyt koiran kanssa pisimmät aamulenkit koskaan! 🐶❤️

Ei oo mulla kyl kotona lähellekkään näin upeita aamulenkkimaisemia. Ei ihme, et palautumisarvot on noussut raketin lailla, kun tulee tehtyä kaikkea tällästä rauhallisempaa tekemistä ihanissa maisemissa. 🍂

November Scorpio ♏️ season is officially here and I may be biased but Scorpio females truly are a kind of our own, always in our own lane not caring the slightest what others are doing. We simply don’t compete, but somehow we always get our way. Once experienced it’s difficult to try to substitute 🤭 Those who are blessed to know, they know… 😈 All my best traits and my worst traits are very much Scorpio traits and that pretty much explains us well. If you’re on our side we’ll be the best you ever had, and it works the other way around as well. Happy November Scorpio season to those who celebrate, I know one who will 🙋🏼‍♀️
