a short-break destination plucked out of thin air, by spinning and dropping a finger on a map of Eastern China - Taizhou, i had no way near enough days to explore all your peaceful coastal beauty, and am sure to return to make up for insufficient time…
such a perfect city, for a slower paced few days away from the hustle and bustle of Shanghai, golden sunlight-streamed mornings atop the legendary Tiantai Mountain - flecked and refreshed by the rush of the waterfall, and warm summer nights strolling Linhai Old Street - softly aglow with pastel paper lanterns
hitchhiking with aunties when the signal was too bad to call a DiDi, sharing banana milk sweets with fellow tourists sat roadside, and spontaneous photoshoot sessions in Qipao - so much in so little time
Taizhou - the stunning gem of Zhejiang that you are - i’ll be back for your quarries and lakes before you know it💧
